I think I will just have to buy some more new paints these just don't have the bright colours that I like but I am really pleased that the painting worked.
Wee One

Flutterby
I just can't get used to these acrylic paints (bring back my old school paints please!!!). I nearly gave up with this but in the end I am actually very pleased with it. B-)

Landscape
Inspired by an exhibition of Ken Lochhead I decided to try a landscape without putting all my usual details in it.

The Cave
This was the view from inside a cave in Tangiers, the spring water inside was said to bring you blessings.
Wise Owl
This baby owl was left to shelter for the day by its Mum, in a wall that my Dad was repairing, I couldn't resist painting the magical image.

This was the design I did to plan for my embroidery which you can see in the next picture.

Beach Puppy
This is my childhood dog, when she was still a puppy, after a play in the sea.
Toadstool wood
This is a mix of toadstools from my lovely walks in the local woods and hills. A sign of how nature just doesn't care about life or death, it just goes on, in beauty and wonder.
Swirls
This is called soul art, it take ages but is great fun and very theraputic.
Love Life
It starts with a large blank page, which is then completely covered in marks, colours, scribbles whatever you want to get feelings out. Then through all the jumble I search for pictures that jump out and paint them. I do this for every side of the sheet, resulting in images arriving from all directions.
Sea bursts
This is the first of my soul art paintings, I really like this one.
Wild Wonders
This one was done on one of those canvas boards, the texture is not so easy to paint details on, but the paint can be layred on lovely and thick. I love colours and thick paint.
Sky Colours
This is just one of the amazing sky colour views that I get from my kitchen window. I plan to do a series of these showing some of the different beautiful sky views.

A very old self portrait, the (slightly!!! big) eyes show how much I was concentrating and staring at the mirror.
Autumn Patterns
The leaves in the garden were so beautiful they just needed to be put in a painting to capture their memory.
Sun Bloom.
This flower was in a garden in Teneriffe, I love the light and different layers working down to the dark undergrowth.
Candle Light
This wee candle was and experiment of how painting on black paper would turn out, I think it works well for candle light.

I love the amazing colours in the soul art, but I like the pictures of animals (Beth and the owl) the best. They look alive on the page and have character!
You know, there are times I forget just how good an artist you actually are - fantastic. It'd great to have a lot of your stuff gathered together in one place. More please :)
